BACK IN THE SADDLE

As summer turns to autumn, the cooler temperatures set in and it is that time of year when it is once again fun to break out the mountain bikes and head out to play in the green hills and woods that abound in this part of Catalonia. The town of Banyoles, is a fantastic place for sport, offeringna wide variety of activities, from mountain biking or hiking, to canoeign and swimming, or, if you prefer, for just sitting at one of the surrounding cafes and enjoying the view. In 1992, Banyoles, sporting reputation meant that it was chosen to host the rowing events for the Olympic Games in Barcelona.Originally built in the 19th century as platforms for fishing, these huts have since been converted into private cabanyes enjoyed for recreation and relaxation.
