Facebook which, this summer passed the 500 milion-user mark. The attempt by those who run the the world's largest social net-work to introduce modification to the management of its users private information Kicked up a storm earlier in the year and led to campaigns, such as Quit Facebook Day. The idea was given the name Diaspora, which according to its dictionary definition refers to "any ethnic, religious or cultural group that has been dispersed out side its traditional homeland".
